I've Made and like to wear
You may know it at this point, but my name is John Murgo. I am a multidisciplined Visual Designer, who finds extraordinary enjoyment in things that look great, work well, and when appropriate, taste good. Creating such things is what I desire to do.
That desire led me to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design and Visual Communication. I expanded my skill set in all areas of print design and strengthened my abilities designing for digital mediums. I developed a refined eye and a bit of a minimalist, type-oriented, flat aesthetic.
As a collector of skills, I pursued parallel passions in the culinary industry where I melded my love for food, and visual beauty to produce dishes that elevated both the ingredients and the atmosphere in which they were consumed. The physical challenge, and the busy, fun, wild environment tickled my creative mind in a unique way that solidified my appreciation for thoughtful details and efficiency in every step.
I've recently been forming a base in Web Development, revealing the mystery of something that has intrigued me since I first asked Jeeves for help in the late 1900s. The fluid nature of the net poses many challenges that have pushed my digital design skills and changed the way I approach problems.
Away from the computer you might find me printing T-shirts, crafting cards, or making something from nothing, as they say. Further away still, in the outside world, I may be enjoying various ocean activities, chasing birdies on the golf course, or hitting the slopes if the weather is right.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a bit. I would love to hear about you and what you are up to. Maybe we can create something together.
